Archives Management at the Library and Archives Service of Hulu Sungai Utara Regency There are problematic phenomena, namely: First, Limited Archiving Officers, Currently the number of Archivists available is only 4 people, while according to the job analysis for the LKD (Regional Archiving Institution) or better known as the archiving sector there are 19 people. Second, the archive storage space available is currently full. Third, Lack of facilities and infrastructure such as archive racks and several tools for archive preservation activities even though archive preservation tools are very important because they are the main components in maintaining the physical condition and quality of archives to remain intact. The purpose of the study is to determine the management of archives at the Library and Archives Service of Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, and the factors that influence it. This study employed a qualitative, descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Nine participants were selected through purposive sampling. After collection, the data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification techniques. The results of this study indicate that archival management at the Library and Archives Service of Hulu Sungai Utara Regency is quite good. This can be seen from several good indicators, namely: Laws, Government Regulations, Understanding of Archives Managers and Appreciation of Archives Managers. Fairly Good indicators, namely: Archives Managers, Buildings, Archives Storage, Archives Services, Archives Maintenance, Archives Destruction, Archives Systems, Archives Policies, Human Resources. Some indicators that are considered less good, namely: Archivists, Space and Procurement of Facilities and Infrastructure. The Supporting Factors are the Existence of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for Archives and the Existence of a Legal Basis that applies. Inhibiting Factors are the Lack of Additional ASN Archivists and Lack of Archives Storage Space. Suggestions addressed to the Head of the Library and Archives Service of Hulu Sungai Utara Regency include strengthening human resource planning, addressing the shortage of archivists, and optimizing the arrangement of archive storage space. The Head of the Archives Division is expected to follow up on staff planning, organize the division of tasks, and organize archives in stages. Meanwhile, archives officers are advised to improve discipline and accuracy through regular archive inspections and reporting on archive conditions to superiors.
